I teach private flute lessons to students of all ages and experience levels from complete beginners to prospective university music majors.

With nearly a decade of teaching experience, I’ve helped students earn positions in youth orchestras, honor bands, honor orchestras, and masterclasses.

My students are frequently recognized for their beautiful tone, strong leadership, and positive, collaborative attitude.

I currently offer weekly private flute and vocal lessons in-person at my studio in Santa Clarita, CA or online via Zoom.

Teaching Philosophy

My priority as a teacher is to help students develop a genuine love of music and a lifelong appreciation for the performing arts. I strive to create a learning environment that is supportive, collaborative, and creative, while also providing a strong foundation in musical skills, audition preparation, music theory, ear training, and music history.

While I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, I am a strong believer in developing solid basic skills from the start. Every student learns differently, so I take time to understand their individual needs, goals, and learning styles. At the same time, I emphasize core fundamentals breathing, posture, and beautiful tone so students gain the confidence and technical strength needed to progress steadily towards their goals.

Whether your child wants to improve in their school band class, prepare for an important audition, work toward a future music degree, or simply grow as a musician for personal enjoyment, I will design a personalized plan to help them succeed and feel confident in their progress.
